The Lester Project

Friday, September 08, 2006

Hey everyone!
Just like Kayte's previous post said, huge thanks to Gordon Edes for mentioning us in the Sox notebook!

Please add http://thelesterproject.com to your bookmarks. Once we have received our first batch of bracelets, thelesterproject.com will launch and have a place where you can order, as well as some other features!

Keep your eyes open for daily updates, as this project is just getting off the ground! Thank you so much, Sox nation, for helping to support Jon Lester and his fight to strike out cancer!

Thanks to all of you for starting this project! Our hearts go out to Jon and we look forward to supporting him however we, the fans, can over the coming months/year.

Stay strong, Jon! You can beat it. You will beat it. And someday, you are going to get a spectacular standing ovation when you return to the mound at Fenway Park, where you belong.

The bracelets are going to be red. Once we receive them to make sure everything looks exactly the way we want them, we will post a picture of them on the site, so you can see them before you order them!

I just realized you girls are all college students, what a terrific thing for you to do. You should be so proud of yourselves. Can't wait to get a bunch of braclets to give to all of my friends as gifts. Alot of them being Yankee fans, but this isn't about baseball, it's about giving to the Jimmy Fund and all the wonderful work they do.

I think it's AMAZING that you ladies are doing this for the Jimmy Fund and for Jon. Hopefully your efforts will spread awareness about anaplastic large cell lymphoma and people will realize that ANYONE can get cancer. Keep us posted--I'll definitely spread the word!!!
HANG IN THERE JON!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
